What follows is likely to be of interest to about nine people. But seeing as those nine people constitute the entire readership of this blog, this could be my most popular post yet: Yes, it's time for photos of Portland.

Click on the shot at right for a guided tour of my home, work and assorted Puddletown hangouts. Please keep in mind that my neighborhood does not typically look like this. Typically, it looks very dark: Sunset arrives at 4:30 every afternoon.

We need to see you!! Sorry we've been out of town the last cople of times you have been in Seattle. It was not intentional. Welcome to the 4:30 sunset. The compensation is a 10:30 sunset in the summer.

I thought the kitchen looked a little too clean... should have known it couldn't last :-) Thanks for posting! Looks much colder in Portland than Christmas in Polk County (hot and miserable as always this year).

Good to see these. Man, you are living in some major beauty! Oh. FYI, I am going to try and move to NYC in the fall... it just keeps looking possible to do it and not starve. What is THAT about?

hi mesh! i'm curious about portland, what's it like living there? what's the job market like? i'm not saying i'm leaving nyc, just thinking, if i didn't live here, where would i go and how far away from my family can i get? hope you're well.
