In honor of President Bush's exciting, expensive plans to establish a lunar base (a lesser person than myself would insert something snarky here, like asking whether Don Rumsfeld thinks the moon needs a regime change), I present you with a little song.
When I was a little kid, I used to cry whenever Ernie the Muppet would sing this piece. My mother worried about my emotional health.

Posted by: peninah at January 15, 2004 10:36 AMMaybe it's just that with Grandfather Twilight spreading both the moon's light AND Kucinich on earth, there's no reason at all to live on the moon. All of it's goodness is here, with us today.
Now you can worry about my emotional health. I cried when I read this. I miss you!!! You are fun to read. Hats off to Josiah for getting the blog thing going.
Posted by: Barbara Mesh at January 15, 2004 08:18 PMJust imagine what kind of lugubrious music Ernie might be singing if he read this.
Posted by: iserman at January 16, 2004 02:11 PMFun to consider. He would probably reference the Honkers in some way.
